Read more about Stacey
Stacey’s research focused on women’s emotions when navigating choices about motherhood and career through in-depth conversations with mothers who’d achieved a graduate-level education and subsequent career but had decided to stay home to raise their children.
Her research captures the emotional decision process, the benefits and challenges of staying home, and the continuous re-evaluation women experience when leaving their paid work to stay home full-time. Stacey draws on her research and experience to work with women to unpack and even embrace their ambivalence as a natural tension between motherhood and ambition.
In addition, Stacey has worked with healthcare start-ups to design techniques, services, and training programs that encourage meaningful connections between patients and providers. She currently serves as Chief Behavioral Health Officer at RightSite Health.
As a practicing psychoanalyst and executive coach, Stacey brings her psychoanalytic and business experience to bear in working with business leaders and up-and-coming leaders.
She earned her Masters in Counseling Psychology from Boston College, her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from St. Mary’s University, and her certification in contemporary psychoanalysis from the National Institute for the Psychotherapies (NIP) in New York.
Stacey lives in San Antonio, Texas, with her husband of 32 years, and they have three grown kids and two dogs.
